Bring Back the Older Versions of Glo Bible

I was excited to learn of a newer Glo Bible, but now I'm very disappointed.

It is not easy to navigate around the newer version compared to the older version of study bibles...that you can't purchase anymore.

I don't like this version and I will stick with the older versions...except the old Glo Bible app won't even open anymore and crashes every time. I will continue to use the old NKJV powered by Glo Bible, even though it crashes over and over. Sorry for people that can't download this anymore...it really was amazing and doesn't even resemble the newer version that's available now.

Free or not, i don't like it and I have the premium (given free from being an old member), it's not the same and I hope they bring back the older apps.

Look at the pictures below, it's a big difference just in the user interface alone.

Please bring back and continue support for the study Glo bibles...these bibles are amazing and the Glo media was absolutely breathtaking! I'm glad I got this app before it was discontinued.

I SO agree - it's too bad.  The original version was a great eye catching interface that actually made it easy to evangelize to seekers or non-believers.  It also grabbed the attention of millennials and this new version is a huge step backwards... too bad.

I totally agree.  I realize the newer version may still be in transition however from what I can tell so far, the features, user interface and over all experience of the previous version was MUCH, MUCH better.

What is this I read in FAQ's about the old Glo. Premium users will be grandfather in and also there will be a subscription price of 5$ a month?  I purchased the Glo Premium for quite a bit of money and now I am expected to pay more?  I did not use the old Glo much because it froze all the time.  I will not spend any more money on Glo.....I use Olive Tree now....not as beautiful as old Glo Bible's interface but Olive Tree is user friendly and does not freeze up all the time

The new version is awful. What could you have been thinking? Before pastoral ministry I was involved in sales and marketing in the healthcare field. We would have focus groups look at and report on new products before they were introduced. More that once we scrapped a product that was as poorly designed as your new Bible.

Please restore the old version that so many of us paid for. Bring back virtual tours, videos (all of them) and all of the other facets of the product that made it usable. I find myself being embarrassed for recommending it to the adult study groups in my churches.

The desktop version is being faded out...sad. Especially since desktop users have no other options at this point.

See attached file of the maps that is no longer supported.

Please just bring back the old version.  It's not a failure to listen to your customers, it's a huge strength and a way to bless us!  I and many others purchased the old Glo bible for its multimedia strengths, ease of use and the overall beauty of design.  There was very little wrong overall and any improvements if any could have been tackled a little at a time plus adding content where possible.  With this new app, it's a monster of a task you have on your hands to get this to a decent stage and then it will take a very long time past that for you to ever improve on where the old app was.  As it stands, the app gives nothing more than many free bible apps do and isn't as good.  I can't believe you're expecting new people to pay a monthly fee for this. I have to be on the internet to access only a fraction of what I already purchased.  Then what about those people who don't use mobile devices? We've all been very patient but there comes a point when it's getting a bit much to ask.  I'm guessing it's been about 8 or 9 months in my case? I'm not sure but it's time to sort this out.  Change over to the old version, fix this or please refund my money as I've not had ANY real use if this product.

Go to God in prayer this time and see if this is his will, then follow his will whatever that is; that's not for me to say.  If that's not how you run this business then look to your customers and at the very least... listen to them!  This app does not bless anyone anymore as it is and if it is ever fixed it will take a long time to repair the damage you have done to your business by not thinking this change over process through.  I've seen many ideas listed on these pages just struck out as "already done" or will not be implemented etc and it's very obvious that the idea was not understood or barely read.  Again, not listening!  I'll probably be seen as rude for expressing these feelings but we are not really being heard.  If I had not spent a lot of money already and bought premium I would gladly just go away at this point. In my local currency, it's a LOT of money I've lost!!!   I bought it the week that the old app disappeared in my local Apple Store not realising I'd never get to actually use the old app properly beyond just opening it up and I think that was May 2016.  I bought it for the multimedia functions that now don't work properly at all, maps with people n points and listings/ links, 3D views etc.  I didn't buy it for multimedia functions like free YouTube sermons! I didn't consent to pay to be a beta tester!   I've been so mixed up between being angry and feeling ripped off yet hoping that I will get to actually use and enjoy the multimedia I was promised.  I don't expect to see any help from CS here as they dont seem to read anything in the comments after the thread has been stamped as "done" but at least I've said my piece.  Maybe if more of us do express our dissatisfaction  ....  maybe we won't see changes but we'll feel better if nothing else :)

I agree. I strongly dislike the new version. I totally hate the UI I will continue to use my old version even though it crashes

I agree - I purchased Glo premium some time ago and loved the set up and how easily it was to navigate around in. I am said that the app version is totally different now. It  is hard to find what verse goes with what, what virtual tour, art work, maps, photos, go with which verse, it is just one big list

I purchased thee original version & loved it. Now  I have lost the NIV & Msg versions as well as others. This version is unusable, so I deleted it. So sad that such a wonderful way to study the Word has been made unrecognizable. Please give us the option of having which version we want, that is what I paid for.

Does anyone know how to transfer the old app to a new device? I completely agree - the new app is not near as useful as the amazing original!

Agree 100%. The only thing wrong with the older version was bugginess (it tended to crash a lot). I liked everything else! Nobody else had an app like it.

I don't understand why anyone would trade the older version for this one. BIG mistake... It's like they took the human aspect away and replaced it with an impassionate squad of techies. Don't get me wrong, I myself am a tech Greek but you can't just replace humanity with technology, they need to commingle... find the right balance and it's a shame they choose to go in this direction. From reading the bio's of the people in charge only one of them says anything about the Bible... Or any kind of faith whatsoever... To bad, it was a great app.

I agree. This new version needs to go back. The original was so much better and it helped me understand and come closer to the Word.

It is a good idea to listen to your customers.  Your old software was much better....this new edition took away some translations I had and it is a great downward step in product.  My Premium  product was paid for and you have plans to charge for this edition......I cannot imagine any existing customer paying for the product you are offering now.  There are a lot of choices with other Bible programs out there and Glo will have difficulty surviving with such a great step backwards.
